MBNA Rate For Life

A new type of card from MBNA that gives you a promotional rate on balance transfers from other cards and money transfers to your current account - 5.9% for the life of the transferred balances. The MBNA Rate for Life card has typical rate of 16.9% variable with 2% handling fee for balances transferred in the first 60 days, 3% thereafter (4% for money transfers) Rather than giving you a 0% deal for a short period of time, you can transfer your balance to the MBNA Rate for Life card and pay off the balance over a longer period with a reasonable rate of interest, just 5.9%

Before you apply for the MBNA Rate for Life card, take a look at the aceptance criteria below. If you don’t meet the minimum, or you are declined by MBNA, come back to this page and click on the link for the Halifax Card as they have an 18 year minimum age and no minimum salary requirement.

		Over 23 years of age
		You are a home owner
		Income of over £20,000
		No recent credit defauls ~ CCJ’s, or missed payments
		UK resident, with residential addresses for past two years

		Apply for the Halifax Credit Card

Balance transfers must be made within 60 days of account opening to qualify for the promotional rate. For full details of how we allocate your repayments, particularly when promotional offers have the same rate, please see paragraph 2f of your terms and conditions. Promotional rates will no longer apply from the beginning of any statement period during which you have breached your terms and conditions.
